Junior Design Engineer
Technology Desking Inc is seeking a motivated Junior Design Engineer to join our small team. This entry-level role involves assisting in product design and development, collaborating with senior engineers from concept to reality. This is an opportunity for recent graduates to gain experience and expertise in a fast-paced environment.
Work Location
This is an in-person, full-time position based at our Lititz, PA office and facility.
Responsibilities
Assist senior engineers in designing, presentations, developing, and testing products.
Create and modify 3D models and technical drawings using Solidworks software.
Prepare technical drawing specifications for manufacture, BOMs, and test protocols.
Prepare presentation documents using Indesign, 3D Studio Max, KeyShot.
Conduct research, perform engineering calculations, and analyze data to support design decisions.
Participate in design reviews and mind mapping.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure feasible designs and meet project timelines.
Assist in building and testing prototypes. This will require hands-on physical work to help build the assembly that you will have been helping to design.
Support the transition from design to manufacturing and resolve production issues.
Stay updated on industry trends, design principles, and technologies.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field from an ABET-accredited institution.
Strong knowledge of CAD software. Preferably SolidWorks.
Knowledge of presentation software. Preferably 3D Studio Max and KeyShot.
Understanding of engineering principles, design methodologies and technical drawings.
Sheet metal design experience is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes and materials is a plus.
Prior experience through internships or co-op programs is desirable.
